The indoor 9 hole stableford competition during February for Men and Lady members is still running. At the moment Ben Cornwell is the Tournament leader with a score of eighteen points.
The Competition is played over the back 9 holes of the classic Open Championship venue, Turnberry.
If you would like to enter please do not worry, you will not be playing from the "tiger tees". There will be no wind blowing, no rain and it will be nice and warm. You will not even lose a ball. Golfing utopia!!
Rules
Full handicap allowance, Mens Tees 6270 yards, Ladies Tees 5602 yards. Very similar to Hartley Wintney.
Each competitor will get 2 holes to warm up on and get used to the pace of the links greens. Turnberry's 8th and 9th holes
All putts under 10 feet will be gimme's. Play can be in 2,3 or 4 balls.
To give you some idea of how long it will take to play 11 holes in the studio, I think approximately, 2 ball 1 ½ hours, 3 ball 2 hours, 4 ball 2 1/2 hours.
Prizes
Any player scoring 18 points or more will receive 3 Srixon Z-Star golf balls
The overall winner will receive 1 dozen Z-Star balls and a 2 hour voucher to use the studio for 2 people. (In the event of a tie there will be a sudden death stableford playoff)
Entry
The cost of entry is £15 per player and each player is only allowed a maximum of 2 entries. Please contact us in the shop to book your tee time. Click here to get in touch and find out more.

Ladies Competitions
Well done to the Mail on Sunday Classic team who won their first round away against North Hants.
It was a great tussle by Cheryl Scott, Nicky Harden, Chris Curtis, Chris Warman and Linda Turner with every match being decided on the 17th or 18th hole.
After five matches, the result was halved and Cheryl won the 19th extra hole.
Fantastic golf by everyone.
Best of luck to the ladies in the next round, and let's hope they can go as far as possible!

Congratulations to Barbara Simms who won the Richard Leverentz Trophy with 34 points.
Barbara is playing really well and has won the last two ladies competitions! Jan Mitchell was runner up with 31 points.

Another ladies winner is Deirdre McCullough, who won the Weekend Ladies Stableford with 33 points, Cydney Morgan was second with 30 points. It was great to see a record number of ladies playing in the Stableford on Saturday.
