You may remember me singing the praises of our new indoor teaching and fitting studio in last week's newsletter. You are not going to believe what happened next! After a busy morning teaching last Saturday, myself and two golfing friends decided we would play nine holes at Turnberry and then nine holes at 2012 Ryder Cup venue Medinah.
Turnberry all went well, but then we moved on to Medinah with its tree lined fairways and many water hazards. My two playing partners both had a bit of tree trouble on the first and failed to score any points. I made a nice solid par for two points to take the honour at the tricky par three second hole over water.
A sweetly hit seven iron to a back left pin and in it went for a hole in one. The rest is history. I have to say that an indoor hole in one gave me just as much pleasure as a normal hole in one and the great thing is you can see the ball go in the hole and relive it over and over again.
