Watts Cup
Last weekend saw the playing of the Watts Cup, played in a medal format the competition attracted 67 entries. Anthony Powell and David Fox both shot net 68’s so countback was required to find the winner and it was Anthony who took the honours with David finishing runner-up. Countback was also required for third and fourth positions with young Robert Leemans and Gareth Cox both scoring net 69’s, and it was Robert who finished in third place with Gareth taking fourth place. The final sweep position went to Jamie Mullin (net 71) on countback from Bradley Walsh. Jamie also had the lowest gross of the competition shooting a 74. There were eleven two’s recorded with each two worth £5.90, they were scored by Dave Bartlett, Kevin Speakman, Keith Morris, David Parker, David Lince, Mark Wigmore, David Fox, Steven Parker x 2, Nick Wilmot and Robert Leemans.
